Default Rear lifts, what are the options?

Right now we've got little 1.5" blocks under the 4WD leaf springs.

What are some of the options for lifting the rear of one of our trucks.

Seems like:
  • larger block in between the leaf springs and the axles
    • I don't personally like this idea since the blocks increase wheel hop and axle wrap due to the increased lever arm. I'd like to avoid this if possible
    • If this is the best option, what's the longest block that fits with the stock U-Bolts?
  • Add-A Leafs
    • Pretty simple to understand. But do they stiffen the ride up? Supposedly you would think yes, but if it keeps the suspension off of the overload it might feel softer, at least for large hits
  • Deaver Mini-Leaf Pack
    • Like an add-a leaf on steroids. Replaces the stock blocks and overloads. From what I understand it's a subjectively better ride due to never using the overload. It's just a more progressive feeling.
    • Also, seems like only one guy on these boards has used this option. Anyone else? Opinions?
    • Significantly more expensive than an Add-a-leaf

Anything else available?
What are the pros and cons of each of the options?

You actually have 1.25" blocks from the factory. I have installed 2" blocks with Bilstein 5100 shoks and had to replace the U bolts with longer. My ride is better than before with the Bilsteins.

I did a 2" add a leaf for added weight capacity and replaced the block with a 1". With my level it sits at 2" in the front and 3" in the rear. Looks perfect and doesn't sag under weight.

Doesn't sag under weight eh? That sounds like it would stiffen the ride up quite a bit compared to stock then.

It's a longer leaf so it doesn't jostle the rear around

You could always consider air bags in the rear. A firestone rear air bag kit for example. This gives you total control of your rear end and the adjustability for different towing applications.

Meh, Airbags are for towing. I don't see myself doing any real towing in the life of the truck.
