Rear Ended
Got rear ended by a ford e350 commercial cargo van. We were in stop and go traffic and i was at a complete stop when it happened so no clue as to how fast he was going....but man that van hit dead center on my hitch and I felt definitely felt it. Police report should be ready in a week and it was a commercial vehicle so insurance should make it right. I'm hoping its just the bumper and no frame damage. I cant tell if the hitch moved at all....also my tail gate binds on the bumper and can't open. Im self employed (contractor) and open and close that tail gate a lot.
Any one have an idea on what a oem painted bumper installed goes for these days.....I've tried searching online but surprisingly can't find prices. Thanks in advance. Not that it makes any difference but my truck is a 2013 fx4 scab.

wait. what?
you should check the classifieds on here. you may be able to find someone selling an OEM bumper because they went to an aftermarket one or something, and it shouldn't be more than $100-150 to get the two halves painted Oxford White.

Man that sucks, you may want to consider a rear ranch hand replacement. Will be about the same price as a new one from ford and you could even have it painted white. Just a thought, I love mine.

I saw this on craigslist, looks like its located in Dallas and you're in south Texas. Maybe they will sell it seperately.

Man that really sucks, glad there were no injuries.
The damage looks similar to when I got rear-ended in my 2011 almost 2 years ago (I'll include the link to the thread if your interested)

Anyway there was no frame damage, I needed a new bumper, hitch and some paint work. When they (body shop) were done with it you couldn't even tell anything happened. All this was done through insurance at zero cost to me.
Best of luck, I'm sure it'll turn out just fine.

thanks, new bumper is sweet, lot better than flimsy oem this one is all steel 1/4 plate front and 1/8" on top. I Tried blacking them out before, but couldnt figure it out lol, i have nothing to hide, clean driving record, not wanted etc and like rnlcomp says everybody sees it daily!!!
