^ I will ride in a driverless car on the way to my funeral. Not a moment earlier.

Got the estimate late yesterday. Just a shade under 3400. New bumper, new hitch, new tailgate. Misc labor of course.

Her insurance will 100% cover it since it is her fault. No money out of pocket for me. I am also going to get a small paint issue fixed on the front right where someone knicked me a took off this past summer.

Totally pisses me off. From what I remember she was not on her phone nor was she distracted. She simply was driving too fast for icy conditions. I heard from the insurance company that her car is a write off.

My neck and back have been bugging me since so I got xrays yesterday. We'll see where that goes. I have no intentions on trying to profit from this, I just want my truck back to where it was before she hit me, likewise my body.

Sucks, but it is what it is. The truck is only metal and glass, I could care less about it, as long as everyone walked away; that is all that matters.

Ironically we have a beater 2002 Taurus that my wife drives. I wish I was in that, at least it would have gotten written off... I want rid of that thing anyway. It was because of the fact that I was driving my truck that I for the most part walked away without major injuries.

The hitch will have to be replaced. The frame is fine, no issue there.
