I have a 2013 SuperCrew and when I first got the truck around 20k, the rear passenger door could not be opened from the inside or outside. This happened for about a week and hasn't happened since. I'm now at 54k.

Default Door locks

I have a 2015 supercrew F-150 with Less than 3,000 miles , I am the first owner and only had it for a few months. Three weeks ago the right rear door lock became stuck . I took into the dealer.
They had it for a full day and said they have "ordered a part" which I'm still waiting service for. Now the left rear door lock is stuck.
I called the same advisor at Highbury Ford in London Ontario Canada and he will not return my calls. I left a brief message. ( now I understand why he didn't answer.) He knows of the issue and can not repair it.
I phoned another Ford Dealer Service advisor.
Ford is aware of the lock issue and they do not have a permanent repair "they are working on it "
Moisture is getting into the lock mechanism than freezing.
I thought this was an issue with the 2015's but now it seems it's been a ongoing issue ?
Both rear doors are unless as I cannot open them.
Just a few months ago , I happily paid over $50,000 CASH for a 4 door truck FORD F-150.
Less than 3,000 miles later there are serious issues with the locking mechanisms rendering the rear doors useless.

First the right rear door wouldn't respond to the key remote or the lock unlock switch inside.
Now the left rear door is stuck.
I'm concerned the front doors will be next.
Any help or suggestions?
I have a 2015 Lariat with 37,000Km on it and I tried my remote entry today and none of my doors would open at all. I had to use the key to open the drivers door to gain entry. I guess it is back to the dealer again

Default Rear door stuck

I have the same issue for 2 years now. The lock moves freely but the door will not open from the outside or inside. I was able to get the door panel off from the inside with the door closed by taking the two bolts in the bottom out with a skinny snall long extension but even looking inside the door, I haven't had any luck opening it. What did you do?

I have had the same issue. My truck is a 2014 Crewcab 4x4 Platinum. I bought it new in February of 2015. About a year ago my front passenger side door started not locking and unlocking with the keypad or the lock button on the door. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would take several clicks of the keypad or button and sometimes it wouldn't work no matter what until I reached across the truck and pulled the inside door handle. When I brought the truck in for routine maintenance I mentioned it to the service writer and he said they would take a look at it and get back to me. They called me several hours later and said the door actuator was bad and I believe the quote the gave me was $340 plus tax to fix it. I told him I was not paying $400 to have the lock fixed and that was that. I'm not sure what happened but from that day forward the lock has worked fine. I don't know if they assumed I was going to pay for the repair and had already started on it before they called me so they just did it free of charge or what but regardless it works now. Fast forward about 8 months later the rear drivers side door is doing the same thing and now does not work at all unless you physically pull the lock antenna up and down to lock and unlock and sometimes you cant even do that. I have watched a video on youtube and it looks like a real pain in the behind to change the actuator so it looks like I will be looking for another garage beside the Ford dealership to change this one. I refuse to pay $400 for something Ford knows is a huge problem with these trucks. It should be a recall item but they know they will lose millions of dollars if that make this a recall. Hate to say this but I usually buy new trucks every 2-3 years and now is about the time for a new one. I have been looking into the Tundras for my next purchase. Ford has just lost their minds with the costs of their new trucks and there are a lot of issues with them as well. I'm at 52K miles on mine and been thru 2 sets of spark plugs, new brakes at 50K with very minimal towing, 2 door actuators, one locked up seat belt, and a rattling skid plate that Ford can not seem to fix. I apologize for the rant but I just a little irritated with y $50K purchase.

Thank you for the reply Randall.

Unfortunately this appears to be a different situation than the one im in. You can physically move the door to the unlock position and open the door to replace the actuator (which I have done on a honda in the past).

My situation is that I cant even open the door to even think about replacing the door lock acuator or any other parts that it might be due to not being able to physically open the door.

Any other help is welcomed, please let me know if you know somebody that can help. Thank you.

Have you figured out the solution for the issue? My truck door has been stuck for over 2.5 years. It also unlocks/locks but wont open from inside or out. I did get the panel off but still no solution. Im coming back from deployment soon and would like to fix it. Any help?

Rattling skid plate on my 2014 that 1 dealer could not fix in several trips turned out to be a loose sway bar link. Noise went away and fixed for free. That was nice after listening to that rattling for the last 40K Miles I owned. Got a real good deal on trade in and so now I’m driving a 17 Platinum. Good luck

I figured out mine and I bet it’s very common. Door stuck shut and lock moves freely. Started intermittent. The wiring harness from frame to passenger door most likely has three broken or barely connected wires just before connector on frame. Easy fix. Had to remove inside door latch and manually pull on latch cable to open door.
