12th generation 2013 screw XLT 4x4 with tremor take offs
Hey guys,
noticed a couple of similar posts which helped a lot but wanted to share my experience in case it helps. Picked up a set of 4 tremor take offs, 275 70 r18 with general grabber ATs. Came with the dark gunmetal wheels. I have a 2013 xlt screw 4x4 with stock suspension.
first thing first - no rub at full lock in both sides
I paid 1k for wheels and tires of OfferUp (I think a good
deal)
took Off my stock chrome wheels and wrangler AT (275/65/18s) off and the tire shop I went too replaced my TPMS sensors from my old tires to this one and all went smooth. I paid 120 for all 4 wheels for installation and switching the TPMS sensors. Was
also quoted 150 and 180 but I called
around. Hoping to sell my old takes off for at least 300 (they have 60% tread left) with the wheels. So all in all should cost me around 700-900 dollars for new tires and a wheel upgrade. Current tires had about 20-25k miles on them.
going to install new shocks. Whatever I can get a good deal on. I saw some pro comp adjustables for 600 for the front and 200 for rear fox 2.0s. Think I’ll lift the front 1” so it levels out a touch but still has some rake and doesn’t open the wheel well too much. All thoughts welcome.
let me know if you have any questions. Attaching a couple of before and after photos.
