Default Rear defrost problem

I just noticed my rear defrost is not working. They light on the display button does not light up. I have pushed button and the morrors nor rear glass are warming up. Anyone had this problem or know a fix or even where to start. Thanks

Had the issue. Ford replaced some sort of module first, but that didnt fix it. Had to replace the entire rear glass. I'm assuming your heated mirrors also don't work, since the complete circuit must work for those to work.

Having your dealer diagnose this is the best first step, Boostinf150; have you reached out to them yet? Please let me know. Additionally, I'll research any available options with your model year and current mileage.

You're in good hands with your dealer, gfc314; please keep us posted on the outcome of your service trip. Also, what's the model year and mileage? I'll look into this.

Same here. Mine stopped working a couple weeks ago. And I just hit 3 years, so no warranty for me. No telling how much Ford wants for the fix, but I guarantee it will involve me grabbing my ankles.

Heated power slider? 90+% chance that you will need to replace the back glass.

Sometimes the connections around the glass will come loose. I'd try checking those first. If you do need to replace the glass it will cost quite a bit if you don't do it yourself. Quotes I got were around a thousand dollars or so. The parts from Levitown ford were 340 or so for the glass which includes the motors and connections. Follow this youtube video which wasn't too hard and your all set.

Make sure your rear slider is fully closed.
