Default 2014 s crew rear seat removal

I also need to remove my rear seat to verify existing wiring to upgrade rear glass how did you remove your 2013 rear seat. I have all the lower nuts removed but am at a loss to release the seat at 2 upper points approx. 6 inches in from the outside of the seats, appreciate any input, Thanks.

I realize I will have to change out the climate control for one with the defrost button, but I have to be careful as there are many different part numbers that include the extra button but can be for multiple applications. The one I think I need is the DL3Z-19980-F which is intended for vehicles with rear defrost, as there are other part numbers that specifically say without rear defrost. Hopefully this can be done. The only other challenge, if everything else works out as I'm hoping, is where to put the window switch. It seems that all vehicles with trim levels where rear defrost is offered as an option (XLT and up) include an overhead console, which is where the switch would go. So not sure where I would put it on an STX without having to go crazy running wires. Any thoughts?

Default Rear Defrost/Power Slider in a 2013 STX??

I know this isn't mechanically helpful, but I use my window every day. I've always had one and I hope I always do.

Yep. I have a 14 STX and I did it. Pretty easy and not too expensive. Fairway ford has them for like $375. Oem sliders. All plugs were behind my seat. Took me about 2 hours to do the swap. Way worth it!

I did mine too. Was alittle scary. But very easy and the old glue is very sticky. I use mine almost everyday.

I use my rear window all the time. There's nothing better than driving with all the windows down to include having the sunroof open. Good luck with your upgrade!

Couldn't agree more. Especially with the roof open, and roll the back windows down a quarter. You get a beautiful open air flow.
Makes a nice ride, all that much better.

I have a 2014 stx and I would like to put a power slider in. I found a kit on ebay with harness, switch and window. I don't know where the switch goes because I don't have an overhead console. does anyone know where its supposed to go?

People put the switch in between the two front lights where the T shape part is on the ceiling .. you will know what I am talking about when you see it . There is a picture of it somewhere on the forum. I will try to find it .
