ianinedm - Any concerns with the leafs resting right on the frame? Rust, seizing together etc? Is there a 1/8 spacer available that could prevent that?
Leaf-against-perch versus leaf-against-spacer-against-perch ... Not an issue.

If you're concerned just put a film of silicone seal between the two.

It was really easy to remove. less than an hour with hand tools, beer drinking time included. They go back in just as easy if your dad doesn't like it.

Did you take the wheels off when you pulled the blocks?

Has anyone towed (more than 6,000 pounds) with the blocks out? Does it make a difference in handling?

I towed my mustang on a 12 hour road trip with my lowered Foose F150. Handled perfect. Can't see this set-up making any difference in handling.

No it was easy with the wheels on. I just went under and unbolted the u-bolts one side at a time. Once they were unbolted I jacked the truck up by the leaf spring (only half inch or so) slid the block out and dropped the jack. Tighten bolt and repeat the other side.
