RCSB Fastest?
Of all the 2011-2012 F-150's, I'm told the RCSB 5.0L is hands-down the fastest truck of them all ... makes sense, since the ecoboost is not an option in the RCSB. There's not much dyno or dragstrip runs out there on the Internet. What times are the RCSB 5.0's running?

108 views and no responses ... guess there's not many of us out here with the 5.0L in a Regular Cab truck. Gotta' get mine out to our local dragstrip soon.
Let's make this interesting to see who gets the closest to my 1/4-mile time when I run my truck. I have found no forum rules which would prohibit me from giving away money. And I don't have a lot of money. Make your guess at what my 1/4 ET will be and I'll mail a $50 money order to whomever gets closest to the nearst 1/100th. This will be the best run of 3 runs with no less than a 30 minute cool-down period between runs. Example: 13.xx.
There's a stretch of road that dead-ends up from my house ... just a flat/open 1/2 mile stretch with zero traffic. The Superchips tuner says I am doing 0-60 consistently in 5.8xx.
Seeing times the heavier stock trucks are running 0-60, I think the Superchips recorded time is pretty accurate. I'm running the Superchips 91 Performance tune with 93 octane, K&N CAI with 3.73 rearend gear.
Apparently, the ECU/PCM has adjusted the A/F ratio accordingly ... not smelling unburnt fuel or excess carbon from the exhaust at all. So, she's not running too rich. If 5.8xx 0-60 is correct, that would put my RCSB running a trap speed of mid 13's with a good 60' time.
Just to make it clear before the naysayer crew jumps in to batter me, I have years of drag racing experience and the pic, vids, and timeslips to prove it. Also, our track is said to be only 8' above sea level, so, IMHO my estimate of mid-13's is somewhat conservative on a cool day when the humidity is low. Won't really know until I get her out to the track.
Remember, I'll be running her with the tailgate attached and the spare tire affixed and the tires are 275/65/18's which are the SRA 114T verisons which only weigh 39 lbs. Stock wheels are only approximately 29 lbs, but, it is a 4x4.
Good luck if you take a shot at the 50 bucks. And thank you reading.
