Default rattle in front end

I had the dealer replace my passenger side front shock, now i have a rattling noise from that side. I checked all the bolts( installed the leveling kit so i checked all the ones i figured theyd touch and the only thing i found was the top center bolt on the strut where it sticks through the shock tower was less then hand tight, the other side(oem) was tight. could this be the problem?? is this bolt supposed to be tight?

I found some torque specs online and they refer to a "shock rod bolt" to be torqued to 41ft lbs. I'm guessing that's what you call it.

Most tighten those bolts when the truck is on the stands or jack and don't check'em when the truck is lowered to normal riding height, which is where the truck should be when actually torqueing those. Hope that solved your rattling noise.

Drive it to work this morning and no rattle! Definitely think this was my issue. It was an honest oversight by the dealer I'm sure. I'll follow up with them when they open to give a little constructive criticism. By the way, they went the extra mile with my service I feel, machined my brake rotors (31k miles), and gave me no flac about my leveling kit or airbag suspension. Thanks Robinson brothers Ford in baton Rouge LA.
