Could be tie-rod end. Grab the wheels and see if they move side to side. I had a bad one drivers side at 18,000km. Thought it was the rack as I had read lots about it, kicked the tire on day and it moved. I use a grease needle now on everything under there!

Would it necessarily show tire wear? This just started noticeable last 3-4 weeks.

I really hope this doesn't turn out to be my steering rack. Had it replaced on my last F150 in July. Didn't show symptoms like this rattle but had a small leak around the boot. Fingers crossed that it's something simpler and less costly.

Doing a bit of research online some culprits could be sway bar bushings or links. When I did my 2" level a few months ago, we broke a sway bar link that was seized. Got a new one installed at the dealer. I wonder now if there's something in relation to the sway bar bushings or links. Symptoms include clunks or noise over small bumps. I also read mention of control arm bushings. Hope to get appt booked with dealer for next few days.

Hi there, tomasulo! Thanks for filling me in with the details. I suggest sending over your full name, VIN, model year, and mileage to my buddies over at the FordServiceCA account; click here to send them a private message.

Hi Brittany. I made an appointment today at the Dealer for tomorrow morning. Will advise what their findings are. Should I still message ford canada service on here with my info?
