Default Raspy magnaflow exhaust

I have magnaflow si/do with turn downs on my 5.0 and it gets pretty raspy after about 4k rpms. Does anybody else have this problem on a similar setup? It's a 3 inch inlet w/ 2.5 inch outlets if that makes any difference. I also deleted the factory resonator.

I had that issue on my 12 fx2 5.0. Got very raspy like a ticking sound. Just put on a si/so flowmaster super 44 3inch cat back on my new 14 fx4 5.0 and wow!! Sounds sooo good! Just got her done today. Will never go back to a magnaflow.

That is where you made the key mistake.

I figured the resonator would make it too quiet for my liking. That bad boy is long gone by now!! The muffler is a twelve inch i believe.

Is the OE resonator "plug and play" with the Magnaflow cat back systems?

I'm not sure if it's plug and play. I didn't get a cat back system. Just had a muffler welded in place.

I had a 40 flo on my 5.4 an hated the tinney sound. I put a short glass pack in front of it, sounded much lower like my old truck's. more like a v8 instead of a v6.

The magnaflow system leaves the stock resonator in place.
