Lots of folks running adjustable coil overs, UCAs, and add a leafs/leaf packs/large blocks and rear shocks for a much more capable and comfortable ride. If you are mostly street, plus gravel and fire roads and mild off road then this option would be fine I think.

I just bought a '13 with a 3.73 ELD rear. Is the Torsen something that can be installed in my front 8.8, and if so can I keep my existing gears or does it take its own set. Thanks.
P.S. I remember back in the early 80's when Gleason was making Torsens for the off-road market. I always wanted to try one but they went out of business before I was in a position to do so. The True-Trac is a somewhat simplified design and a close second (and an excellent diff.- I have one in my '05) but if I'm going to do anything to the front of the new truck, I want a Torsen.

I was amazed when we did mine that my front gear (3.55) still looked like new. Then it occurred to me that the front differential doesn't hardly have any miles on it, because it's rarely engaged. He did change one shim, to get the perfect pattern, but it was textbook.
I did a thread with the part number on it if it's any help.

I can't stress enough to shop your Ford dealers for price - I found prices ranging from list price, to 28% off.
Guess which one I chose?
