Nice! I found a full set from an owner on the raptor forum. He wants $1400.00 for the set. Ouch.

That's pretty high. I saw a full set on eBay awhile back for $750....on the other hand the rears are like $850 each from tasca

The rears are a direct bolt on, however, to use the raptor fronts you would also need uca's, tie rods and custom lengthened front shafts if you have a 4wd.

I have a 2wd 2010 Xlt. Would these shocks directly bolt on and not rub with the stock 18 inch wheels?

They shouldn't rub as the raptor also uses 18" wheels. These might be kind of overkill on a 2wd truck though.

Well here's my situation. I got the truck used, with 45,000 miles on it. The front left shock was leaking, so after a long drawn out discussion with my salesman and his manager, it was replaced FOC. Then I replaced the other one, for farts and giggles, just so that the struts would be even in age.

Now im at 55,000 miles, and I am considering replacing the rear shocks in 5-10 thousand more miles. I like how the fox shocks look, and from what I hear, they ride like a dream.

I would like my truck to ride like a dream

My plan is to put the fox shocks on soon, then replace the front with fox shocks and UCA when the time comes.

Right now, I drive on a few back roads, and I just want the rear to feel a little more cushion-y.

Now, am I being stupid? Or do I have a good-ish plan?

Doesn't seem like a bad idea at all. If you can get the raptor rears for a good price then by all means bolt them on! For the fronts I'd go with a fox 2.0 or 2.5 if you have the extra cash. The front raptors would require a lot of mods in order for them to bolt on. I'm going with 2.0 for the fronts next year after the leveling kit and tires go on. The rears do ride very nice, I was surprised actually by the difference it made.

Not sure of it off hand. Tasca sells them for $530 per shock but that's still pretty pricy. Check tasca's site and they'll have the part # listed.
