Default just curious......

ive been on quite a bit the last few weeks and it seems that a lot of threads are closed because someone starts bickering. I was reading one just a few minutes ago and was actually interested in what the op had to say about a shield over his transmission, granted he use some non PC words but then he apologized and everyone but two posters seemed to let it go op included. so the thread was closed. why not just block the users that are mouthing off for a few days instead of closing threads all the time. just seems a little bit overkill. wasn't trying to offend any of the moderators I like the forum and its full of helpful information on these trucks just think its a little silly. thanks! if ive stepped on some toes just let me know. sorry bou that.

A lot of times, we close threads at the request of whomever started it. Usually we wont lock a thread unless it goes down into name calling or forum rules being broken but it's pretty common that somebody starts a thread with a question or comment, and if it spirales out of what they were wanting, they PM one of us asking to close it, which we will since they originally started the thread.
