Default raptor grill on non raptor

From what ive read you need to have a raptor hood to put a raptor grill on any non raptor. Is there any special kit or fitting required or does it bolt right up? Ive got a 2010 fx4 and im looking for the right set up for me. Im sure this has been answered somewhere on here but i dont feel like digging through all the threads. Also does anyone of a pic of this done??

First off you should be willing to do some leg work on your own. Thats why we have a search function. Second No I have not actually seen it done but word on the street is you do need the whole hood and grille assembly and that the cost of all parts is ridiculous i have heard as high as over 2K for the whole kit but that could be wrong.

so all those people who swap out grills from different models than their own are basically posers?

i would love to do the leg work on my own but out here in afghanistan our internet is crap and i think 56k is still faster but anyways you basically turned me off to the idea at over a 2k price thanks for the help

A little shaving of the grille surround and some custom mounts.

BTW, I have never used the Search Function.. that is what a Forum is for.
