why did you not just buy one? This has to have cost you much more than a raptor would have cost originally.

I built it for considerably less than what I would have paid for a Raptor. A comparable supercrew Raptor is around $15k more than my truck is worth. Even with the Fox 3.0's and the upgraded leaf springs, I have far less than that into it after selling all of my OEM parts. Also, my truck was ready for ball joints on both sides which sort of triggered the conversion.

That's pretty sweet. I'm impressed.

I just bought the skid plate from the 2017 raptor for my 2016 f150. What special bracket did you use for yours?

I have a skid and looking to install. Did you have to take off the OEM skid that comes on our trucks to install??? I’m under my truck and doesn’t look like there’s any mounting holes that I can see for the rear bolts

You can get a V8 raptor conversion from PaxPower that's Supercharged, (or some of the others doing conversions) and still pay less than Raptor prices. If you buy an XLT, or not super optioned up Lariat. Some of the Platinum's they are converting are closer to $100K though. Especially the ones with the Baja Kits conversions.

Raptors are bad ***, but they are expensive to buy new, and retain their value.

Why Raptor skids anyway when RCI skids are designed to fit and stouter than OEM too...

a second vote for RCI. I had them on my ranger and can attest to their strength. I came down hard on my transfer case one and it bowed but that was my own fault and it would have destroyed a stock one.
