Default Raptor FRONT Shocks on F-150 w/ lift kit

So from reading different places I am coming to the conclusion that the Raptor front shocks are 3.25" longer on bottom perch, 5" longer on mid perch than the stock F-150 shocks. Therefore, one could conclude that Raptor shocks would fit with a drop bracket lift (aka Rancho, etc.) correct? Anyone tried it? Curious and wanted to see if anyone had tried it and if nothing else provide the info for someone else in the future.

Here are some measurements in reference to the Rancho front shocks vs Raptor front shocks:

Rancho - Extended Length - 26.28"
Rancho - Compressed Length - 21.81"

Stock Raptor - Extended Length - 26.9"
Stock Raptor - Compressed Length - 19.75"

So from that the only concerning dimension is the compressed length, may be possible to overextend the bracket lift and damage something unless the bump-stops are installed correctly.

Thats not your truck is it buster?

Looks like those are at stock setting, could go to mid-perch to get the CV back to flat/slightly angled down.

No not mine but it's a 6in procomp lift with the shocks at mid perch. A 1in level would have made it a full 6in lift. The guy said that the only problem is that the axle shaft sometimes rubs on the shock but after a few miles it wore itself a slight groove and didn't do it anymore.

Gotcha, so it would be perfect for a rancho 4" (that acutually nets 5" anyhow).

Good to know since I have a buddy getting ready to do the Rancho 4" on his truck

FYI, I ended up installing the Rancho 4" lift with the raptor shocks set on mid perch on my truck as well. Looks fantastic and the performance is great as well being a nice high end 2.5" shock body with the internal bypass.

Coupled with the custom extended length Icon rear shocks I ordered (2" with remote resi's) the truck rides like a dream and has great dampening.

after checking internet i didn't find that anyone installed raptor gen 1 shocks on f150 2009-2014. Has anyone already did that here? I have pair of those shocks but dont have spring coils, so my concern is to buy springs or to buy shocks which fits to f150 with springs already like fox 2.5 or kings 2.5.
