Aw come on, it's your sister
Not saying thank you though, that's cold, hopefully she just forgot, I'm sure she appreciates it.

Friends though - that's different, lugging **** around for them all day, the least they can do is throw you some cash for gas.
Old saying - gas, grass or *** applies here.

I hauled several truck loads of mulch, top soil, etc. as soon as I passed ~1200 miles....It is what it is...Helping others is what it is all about...(except I would never help a commie, hippie, obozo supporting liberal...just me )

I had line-x sprayed 2 days after I bought the truck...I would have had it quicker but they were booked until then. Get it done!

I really wouldn't sweat a scratch you will be covering with Rhino liner, yeah the principal hurts and I get that. Not sticking up for the bozo hippie dude, but helping others and shrugging off the small stuff, shows what kind of a character a person really is.

I mean a few weeks ago, my almost 5 year old son brought a hot wheels car into the cab with him. I didn't pay any attention to what he was doing with it, but needless to say my three month old FX4 has a scratched and gouged rear door trim panel.

I turned beat red and wanted explode, but simply just cooled off and showed him this was unexceptible and that I was disappointed, but at the end of the day it's just metal.

I bought a nice dump trailer that can haul almost anything. Don't care about scratches, dents etc to the trailer! I got really sick of my 06 getting beat to hell hauling stuff like furniture and landscaping material. Yea I do haul things in my new truck but nothing that's going to beat it up! Yes I do have a liner also. Sorry but I like my truck to stay looking good which includes the tailgate and bed!

Now if it's stuff like lumber etc from Home Cheapo it goes in the trailer.. case closed. Best 3 grand I ever spent to protect my 50 grand pickup…. I also understand some folks don't care if the bed is all beat up and that's great… for them! Years ago I had a small Toyota that was pretty nice… Helped a friend move and they hung the freaken legs of the couch OVER the top of the bed!!!!!! Huge DENT and SCRATCHS.. Blew my freaken top when I saw the truck.. reaction was… oops! NEVER AGAIN!!

It's a truck. The bed is made for hauling. You offered. Deal with it. What did you expect from the labeled "hippie?" Every scratch or dent is a story, a story about a job well done by someone willing to help. Be proud and brag, not complain...or go by a Subaru. Just saying.

As you say, no good deed....I bought a Ford tailgate protector (the plastic bed liner style) off Ebay from seller "fairfome" which is Fairway Ford in Canfield, Ohio for $35.95 with free shipping to save the tailgate on my truck.

I understand exactly how you feel. My bed is scratched all to hell, mostly from the previous owner but some from me. Now the rest of my truck is in very good shape and I'm very **** about it. As long as there is no dents I'm not concerned about the bed.

Me.....I bought a truck, yes! I did not buy a U haul....so if asked to haul items I would simply offer them $50 and offer to help without my truck. I did not buy the truck to haul items in the bed. I bought it to tow a travel trailer and to be my daily driver, not to help people move things.
