Question First Ford!

So i just bought my first ford. Took a ride in my brothers 2014 FX4 last christmas and fell in love instantly! So i bought a 2012 FX4 Black Ops. Loving everything about it only thing im curious about. I seem to be averaging around 11.5 - 12 MPG. should this be correct even with me driving it like a grandpa? It does have a 6'' Lift on it but i was expecting 14 city and 19 HW with this purring 5.0L.

Any input would be amazing! like i said this is my first ford also its my first time owning a truck rather than a sports car. It was time to grow up lol.

For that lift and tire size that's within the normal range. That is one sic looking truck though, the all blacked out look is deffidently nice.

Stock ride height and oem tire size would do the trick!

If anything look into what gearing it has in it. A more appropriate axle ratio to the tire size is the best you will ever get. Even then it would never pay back the cost of regearing but the truck would pull better.

Turn off the mileage screens and enjoy that beauty!

EDIT - Also if you dont have a tune on that or the speedo calibrated, your MPG readings wont be correct.

well this is how its built and sold by Tuscany so i would assume they tune everything correctly before it hits the certified ford dealership.

Now that's one nice truck!!! As far as the MPG issue, you're getting great mileage with those tires. The advertised 19-20 MPG on highway is with stock setup. It is what it is, one beautiful truck that's Ford Tough. Congrats!

Drive downhill bro.

As long as you have a lift and tires combo like that you're going to see pretty poor mileage but that does seem slightly low. I got 13.5 to 15.0 with my 2007 FX4 (it had a 6 inch lift and 35x12.50s), 5.4 vs the 5.0 though. An all-terrain might help slightly but there isn't much you can do. Even if you program it there just isn't enough to unlock to help significantly like with a diesel.
