Question E85 Gas Stations

Hey, just bought a 2010 F-150 XLT w/ XTR package. I'm wanting to look into the price of E85 and find out how it runs on the truck. Problem is finding full E85 stations. Wondering if anyone on here knows of stations on Vancouver Island, focusing around the Victoria area.

Umm, I don't think we yet have any E85 stations in British Columbia and I know for certain we have none on Vancouver Island. Last I searched there were some in the capital region of Canada? I have seen listed a handful of stations in Washington State........It seems the majority of stations are clustered in the central US, but of course an American on the site will correct me if this is wrong!

This topic is one that has been beat to death on many occasions. The general consensus is not too use it. You will get significantly lower fuel mileage with E85 and most people do not see a savings since it is not cheap enough in relation to regular gas.

I think the end question was in regards to the location of E85 on Vancouver Island. And since it is so hard to find in Canada, it is really difficult to determine if it will in fact be cost effective to use up here when the time comes that it is able to be found. Fuel pricing in Canada is done much different then it is done down South.

You DO have an increase in power. The problem is when you stand on the throttle, the fuel gauge goes down almost as fast as the speedometer goes up.

How long does it take the truck to "tune" itself to the e85? Could it be people aren't running it long enough?
