after going to another location they have an option that will replace the ACM "installed" for around $300.... I'm having that installed in a few hours... No info on brand/model number but I'll try and get that to post here.

I have been having problems with the radio cracking/not working/clock flashing. It seems the problem is an issue with 3 components in the circuit board, in the radio. Could be harmonics/vibration issues on the board itself. I live in SW. Missouri and was referred to a man that fixes this problem. Jim at Roland Radio is the man, located in Springfield Mo. (417)209-7395. 1-2 hour repair. Give him a call. A lot cheaper than Ford and a 6 mo. warranty, on the repair. Top Notch.
On a side note, I have bought 6 brand new F150s in the last 25 years and numerous other ford products before and since then. It seems that there is always an issue with my 2103 pickup. I get so tired and frustrated with this and probably will buy a Toyota next time.

SO I just had this problem in my 14 STX. After a bunch of back and fourth the Audio Control Module was replaced and everything is back to normal.
I do not have a compass and not really sure what else is suppose to be displayed on my screen but replacing the acm the radio works now.

Yeah sorry bud. I just dealt with the same exact situation. I was seeing tre flashing clock also! Cracked out the tools and ripped into the dash! Low and behold the CD player was on a continuous cycle of ejecting no cd. I was stumped so I disconnected the radio and took it apart. Disconnected my power supply for the CD player. (Fixed) seriously amazed got my SyNc Bluetooth and satellite radio everything back. Minus CD player. Let's be real how many still got CD players. Yeah went through all the forums looking for answers and stuff. The OEM radio ranges from $250 to $400 forget paying that get an aftermarket if your spending that much. My best advice is that you take a pic of the model number ##-########-## and look online for a wrecking yard that can and will match your part number. They'll even ship it. I found three or four ranging about $50-$140 a piece. It's simply plug and play. But it's definitely the radio. Check your speakers and fuses before you do all this. But once you do it you'll be a pro at ripping the dash apart! There are a couple of YouTube videos how to rip the radio out.

I've just had the same thing happen with my 2011 F-150. Not sure about anyone else, but the popping started to happen after I upgraded my Sync to the latest version. It's popped a few times and shuts the radio off, but it always comes back on. This time nothing will turn on and the time just flashes in the window. Anyone have this happen right after doing a sync upgrade?
