Default Radio Issue - HELP

I have a 2014 STX, no back up camera. The issue with the radio is that is shuts down completely. The temperature on the screen works and the clock blinks in the center of the screen but nothing turns on. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or might have some insight. I have searched all over the place and have not found much.

thanks
Jamie

Never heard of this happening with the stock stereo. I used to have a Chevy Colorado with an aftermarket single din stereo and it started doing something similar where it wouldn't turn on when the truck was on. Turned out the battery had incredibly low voltage and needed to be replaced. Not sure why the only thing not working was the battery..

Anyway...I would check the voltage on the battery first lol. If that's good then you may have a dead stereo.

Here's my SWAG, maybe a reboot. Unhook the battery cable for approx. 15 minutes just for giggles. Don't know if it will work, but these electronics sometimes respond to something that simple. Good luck.

thanks for the help. Yesterday while I was driving home from work for lunch (about a mile) the radio just turned on. It picked up where it left off. when I got home, shut off the truck, got lunch, got back in and started it up and it was again not working. Ford ordered me a new APIM, front control module and a Audio Control Unit. hope this solve the problem.

Sick of using my portable blue tooth speaker to listen to music while I drive.
