I've posted this before a few times. I've been running my truck like this for over a year now with no issues.

Remove the negative battery wire and reroute so that it does not go through the current sensor ring. Leave the sensor connected.
It fools the system so that it will not measure excess current draw and trigger a BMS message.
Everything will still work normal otherwise.
As I said before. Over a year now. No problems. Just no more BMS message.

Still what year did Ford start using the BMS system?

Some time after 2004, that's when I left the dealer for greener pastures and they didn't have it then.

New blood here. Picked up a '13 FX4 Saturday. Got the low battery message last night. Battery indicator on the battery is red. Hoping the dealer can get me in today to check it before this long holiday weekend. Hard to believe this issue kills so many batteries.

Conger, do you have the current ring just hanging next to the neg cable or did you tie it away from the cable?

We had a 2007 F150 that did not experience the Battery Saver Alert. It acted like a very normal vehicle which is more than I can say for our 2013 F150.

I have the ring secured with a couple of tie straps to a wire harness next to the battery cable.
The ring still remains part of the BMS cct. It just won't measure excess current and fools the system into thinking everything is normal.
The only draw back is that if you have a battery drain issue like me, you don't get a BMS message to let you know there is a problem.
For me, I know I have a problem, I just don't want to be reminded everytime I turn the truck off.

Sounds like todays vehicles have tooooo many parasitic drag items that drain the battery while it's parked. They need to incorporate some kind of solar cell into the dash to keep it fully charged like the aftermarket panel I bought to keep things topped off in my 98' that's been working great for the last 4 or 5 months. I hope they've engineered this correctly in the new 2015 trucks. After years of those spark plug problems, this new drain issue (if not fixed) may dissuade buyers from the Blue Oval. IMO, there's way too much computer gimmickry in todays vehicles. Engineers: "Just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should". Stick to fundamentals and reliability!

Yesterday I put the charger on and it read 50%. Charged it to 100% and about 7:30 last night disconnected it. Just went out to check the drain. Charger immediately read 60% but was climbing rather quickly 3%/5minutes. I decided to disconnect the neg. cable and reconnect directly to the battery post. The charger immediately read 100%.

Is this simply a non sophisticated battery charger or could there be something with the ring that causes the errant readings??

Looks like I'll be getting my 3rd battery soon. There's other screwy things going on here. Started getting the message then took a 1000 mile trip. After the first leg the message went away. Then after getting home, the next day it came back after taking a few short stop and go trips. Next day doing the same the message was gone for 1/2 a day of similar stop and goes. Haven't had this situation before. It either came on or it didn't.
