Well back to more issues with mine again, battery minder is popping up again (dealer could not find an issue last week with it) and it was in for "service advance trac" again this time they plan to replace the entire EPS rack... anyway two times since it was in i got the battery message thing so here a nice crappy video of it. on the plus side its almost been a year since the truck has left me stranded, unfortunately all sorts of other issues seems to have replaced that one..

After all th is, you must have thought you should have traded it in. I think in all these posts yours has been the worst for problems.

You might think about asking them to buy it back or give you an even up deal for a new one. Someone may have sprinkled some lemon juice on it? I'd be thinking hard about pushing them in that direction being left stranded that many times. Go ask a lawyer about your situation so your covered.

Yeah, I know he specifically worked for this immediately when he got in office, and the auto companies immediately complied and developed the technology overnight. I know this because my tinfoil hat picked it up on a transmission from Wacko radio.

I knew i should have traded it almost two years ago but i dont feel I should eat the loss on it so thats why its still in my driveway.....

The other reason since Ford is so insistant on doing absolutely zero to make things right with me on this truck I'll just keep taking it back and make them keep trying to fix it and keep pouring $$ into it and keep paying for loaners for me to drive, i bet they have over $7000 between labor, parts, loaners, ETC into this truck so far as its spent over 30 days in the service department so far and no end in site yet, Yeah $7k doesnt mean all that much to a big company but since they wont do anything for me at least i can cost them something where as if i just traded it they get off scott free

Ford has made it clear in SEVERAL emails that they will not buy the truck back OR replace it. Hell i even asked them for an extended warranty and they WONT even do that.... The only thing they have offered is to "continue to try to solve the issues" with my truck yeah that worked out really fugging well so far.....

On the plus side i got a 2014 Ram as a loaner 4 months ago for a few days it only had 30 miles on it and i put 175 miles on it, it got 5mpg better than my ecoboost does going back and forth to work. Have to say i was really impressed overall with the Ram and I'm not really a Dodge guy.

I got a 2014 silverado as a loaner last week with 7k on it, it also got better MPG than my ecoboost, only thing i didnt really care for on that is when it runs in 4 cylinder mode the truck resonates which was a little annoying. So at least i got to drive some other trucks for extended times to feel them out as i will NEVER buy another Ford product again after the way i have been treated with this nightmare of a truck.

Mine only has the battery drain issue and the BMS message. Which after removing the sensor ring from the negative battery cable hasn't been a problem. So I got lucky. The truck has been great. I'm hearing rumors of a BMS fix now but my contact hasn't advised me to go in yet. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. But I sure feel for the guys that have been screwed over. I think that is really short sighted on FMC's part.
We have almost no consumer protection in Canada. We do have a few routes for complaints but mostly they have no teeth. If the manufacturer doesn't step up there is really nothing we can do.

I wish the battery minder was my only issue, I could live with that if that was the only issue with this truck....

So far it has had these issues, I’m sure I forgot a few also…
1: Failed to start 9 times

2: Entire multi function switch assy replaced (behind steering wheel) so wipers would turn off

3: 5 batterys

4: Rear end pop/creak/snap noise, they replaced some seal and something else to get rid of that issue

5: Tranny reflashed to fix harsh shifting in cold weather (better, but still not right IMO)

6: Entire rear sliding window replaced to because of some bad switch in it which makes defrost and heated mirrors not work

7: Electric Brake vacuum pump replaced, the brake power assist wasn’t there several times….

8: Steering angle sensor replaced in steering column to try to fix “service advance trac” issues and nonfunctioning turn signals, worked for a month or so then issue came back…

9: Entire electric power steering rack being replaced now to try to fix “service advance trac” issues and nonfunctioning turn signals

10: One key fob only works sporadically, changed batterys in it ETC, makes no difference. Sometimes it works a month straight other times it wont work an entire week.

Amazing, my 2012 XLT was my favorite truck of the four I have owned, 2008,2010, 2012, 2013.

It got the best mileage, took us from Ohio to the Arctic Circle and back, drove it 56000 miles in 2 and a half years before trading on my 2013. Never had a problem with it.

You mean "Air America" that went broke and subsequently out of business, that' the only waco radio I know of.
