When on vacation this summer I ran into a lead engineer for electrical at Ford. We've corresponded back-and-forth after talking to the engineers in charge of the F150 electrical system he say's there's a software update coming in October that should fix this issue.

Nice that he was concerned about i,t followed up with me and followed up with his engineers to make sure that there was a fix.

I'm starting to think you have a vacuum leak... Lol. The fuel pump and gauges are all electric so I think your off the mark on this. You need to go back and reread this thread.

That was the only real issue I had.

I sure hope they let us know when this software is out so we can get this fixed. I had mine in about a year ago for this, by the time I got to the dealer they couldn't replicate it and the battery was fine. I assume it charged on my drive. I had not seen it since until yesterday it came back. Truck does sit most of the time, 3800 miles in 18 months, but odd that is decided to reappear. I took the truck for a drive and I hope that charged it, but it would be nice if this software fix that hopefully is coming will fix this. I don't have anything extra plugged into this truck at all to be draining it, and the temps really haven't changed. Just odd.

I'm probably going to jinx myself by saying this but back on 7/12? I posted here that my battery was totally dead after sitting for 10 days while on vacation. Dealer put in a new battery and haven't seen the message yet.

Maybe if we all just pull the battery for 10 days rather than, I think its 8 hours, all will be fixed. Simple..

OK I should be seeing the message anytime now. October is right around the corner.

I've been getting the "Battery Saver" alert on mine all summer. I've only been driving it maybe once a week but I think I would still see it even if I drove it every week.

My truck has been driven twice in the last nearly 3 months. Still starts but the light is on. I am going to try to get it out for a half hour drive this week. I'll let you know if it is enough to reset the battery saver.
