That is the part I was asking about earlier in this thread if anyone had a Ford tech look into it being the culprit. If that's is the case I'm ordering it. Damn $10 part causing all this drama.

The p/n to be concerned with is BT4Z-14B357-C. It is what was replaced on my F150. I'm just guessing at the coil, but it might be a module in the same harness that belongs to this part number. I think it is still too soon to say this is definitely the fix. If I can go a week without this problem coming back, I will be satisfied that we've got it. I will keep updating as I know more.

Makes sense its something stupid like a sensor, It is not a failed battery issue.
I took ford battery out when I picked up truck and swapped it with the brand new 980 cca Odessey AGM I had in my trade-in.
no trouble then at 3 month mark in 80' degree weather it started to do the no radio, battery low crap, a couple mornings it wouldn't start. boosted the truck and unplugged my GPS. Since unplugging GPS \ parasitic draw it has never done it again.45 below zero and fires right up, and have not had the low battery thing again.
If its the sensor, wonder how many batteries ford has replaced over a sensor????

That's the thing. It's not that the battery is low. It's that the truck thinks the battery is low. Although in some cases, something is causing parasitic draw.

It seems leaving the keys in the ignition has some effect on this.

Anybody notice when it's really cold, like 5 to 20 below the battery system saver doesn't come on? I really hope this mystery has been solved.

Read back through my last few posts in this thread. I'm now on third day out after repairs and still problem free.

Mine only seemed to come on below minus 20 Celsius.

Four days since the repair and I sat listening to the radio for 20 minutes. So far the problem hasn't returned. Also haven't seen the "low batt" message since I got the truck back. This is the longest period of time I have gone without seeing the battery saver message.

Did they replace your battery at the same time also?
