Radio Contrls messed up: 302A Sync

misses 3 on the tree
needing an update sounds likely.
My 13 STX just started acting up in this manner. Sometimes the voice controls act as if it can't hear me. Sometimes it works. Frustrating for sure. It will be part of my next PM service.

I took my truck in and left it over the weekend.
It was not an update problem, my Sync was up to date and based on the behavior being isolated to the steering wheel controls I never thought it would be an update problem but something related to the steering wheel controls. It was intermittent with the problem happening about 70% of the time. Every once in a while it would work correctly for a few minutes but that was the exception. It was like rolling dice and getting a different answer every roll but with streaks of the same thing for a while.
In my case they apparently tried to replace the steering wheel buttons or a module associated with just those buttons but it did not resolve the problem.
Next step they replaced the "Steering Column Control Module" which was described as being a master control interface between all the gadgets in the steering wheel and the rest of the truck.
This resolved it.

My 2013 started doing this recently...Any more feedback/solutions for this problem? I would like to have an idea of what direction to point the dealer into has they look for a fix. Thanks!
