Radio Contrls messed up: 302A Sync
I have an almost 3 month old 2013 XLT with the 302A Synch package. Last week the steering wheel radio controls started acting up.
The "<<" or previous button acted like the media button and toggled the radio input instead of changing the preset station and the ">>" button went through the presets in descending order 9>8>7>6... instead of ascending.
Anyone else seen this?
Last night it was still doing this (about 5 days) and this morning it was working correctly again.

Hmm you might need to have the system updated, I just updated the sync in both of my trucks that weren't working properly and now they do. Only problem is you will have to take it to the dealer or someone like myself that has the computer that can flash it with. They will do it under warranty.

Sooooo, it worked this morning on the drive to work and then on the way home it was worse. Now the Volume control buttons are changing the presets stations and the << & >> buttons are changing the Media source.
Which fuse do I pull to reset this thing? The manual is confusing with 3 or 4 possible fuses.
My firmware was up to date in early December.

Hi, TexasEd,
I agree with everyone else; you should make an appointment with your dealer to have this diagnosed and corrected.
Is there any way you can take a video of this occurring so you can show your dealer?

I've already decided that the next time it happens I'm pulling over and videoing it since it is an intermittent problem.
My next oil change will be the first one and is free from the dealer so I'll schedule it all together since it is not a safety/ long term damage issue and my time is worth more than going on a separate trip for the radio.

Sounds good to me, TexasEd! I just saw that you posted in a different thread as well, so I won't reply to you there, but if you need any help after your dealer visit, don't hesitate to let Antonio know.

I'd be glad to send you a video. If Ford is going to guarantee that my time won't be wasted at the dealer, Id be glad to drop it off with a video. Video or otherwise, I have never in my life had a dealer take my word for it. If they cannot replicate, then the problem does not exist....
