Radio Connect Error 2012 Navteq map update? Problems after update help!!
#14
As i mentioned before my unit cane bvk to life after unplugging and replugging the lockipic. well this morning after the truck sitting all weekend the nav unit was dead again. i repeated the removal and reattaching of the lockpic and everything back to life.
I finally spoke to a lockpic tech who said it must be a ground problem behind the unit. He wants me to call him back when everything is taken apart.
I may not have time for that this week but I will see what I can do.

same problem with a 2012 F-250
Hello. I just joined. I have a 2012 F-250 Lariat Diesel.
I installed the lockpick and front camera in July. Been working perfect until today. Was driving, flipping through stations, etc... Stopped for gas, got back in truck, started it up and teh steering wheel controls stopped working. Display said, "Connection Error - See Dealer."
So, its not just F-150. I have 6,000 mile son this truck with the high end Sync Nav Radio.
Anyone have a solution? I dread taking the dash apart again.

Must be a lock pick issue. I haven't taken mine out yet to see if the problem goes away bc I haven't had time yet and I'm dreading doing it. I just keep resetting my battery for the time being. One day ill call lock pick as well. Keep us posted if you find a solution

I was able to reset the Lockpic and get it working by simply removing the radio fuse, turning on the key, then re-inserting the fuse. A little easier than a battery disconnect.
Still waiting on a call back from Lockpic
