Default Radiator fan speed

2013 crew cab, 5.0, HDPP, 28,000.
Has Ford ever did a flash fix for the hyper speed of the radiator fan?
When is hot outside and the AC is on, once in a while the fan kicks into hyper fast mode. Just curious if Ford ever did a flash fix. I know Ford initially did it to help the lack of cold AC in hot weather when idling.
Just curious if it was ever changed back to a lower speed or if that super fast speed prematurely damages the fan motor.

No changes were made.

What you are describing is normal operation, intermittent high. Its summer, mine started doing this when the high 80 temps hit some time ago. If I get in my parked truck, they will fire then reduce.

I have a 13 XLT 70,000 mi.also. my fan sounds like it is going to come thru the hood it is so loud. Never did that in 5 years.I did add Freon and it started after that. I do not think it is normal,But I am not familiar with A/C operations. Anyone else know of a fix ??
