It's amazing how all of those other cars on the road, for all of these years, have managed to survive without them. Including probably some of your own and/or your family's.

And to answer your question, your "protector" covered in bug guts.

But hey,

Survive, perhaps at a diminished rate, but mine runs at peak efficiency! Plus it looks better and all that crap stuck in there gets wet and corrodes and shortens the life and causes leaks eventually, you might not care if you trade ever couple years but the second owner would thank you if you cared about your ride.

You could try rinsing the radiator fins from the inside out. Every A.C. class I every went to always said to try and keep as much air flowing thru the radiator/condenser as possible.

I don't worry about the next owner. I don't worry much about me either. Got other problems in life to focus on than bugs in my ac condenser (currently its how many jalapeņos and strips of bacon do I need for the quail I'm smoking tomorrow). And I'd LOVE for someone to prove that bug guts corroded the metal and caused a leak. Or that a couple of bent fins will drastically diminish air flow and cause any noticeable difference in performance. Directly related and with data to back it up.

People worry to much about insignificant things in life. They fret to much over petty stuff. These trucks were designed and built to last. 99.9% of the people on here worrying about things like this will sell the vehicle long before it ever becomes any type of issue. Does it hurt anything to do it? No. Will I tell you you are wasting your time? Yes. But like I said earlier, whatever floats your goat.

To keep-out the BIG chunks (road debris, pebbles, rocks, etc.) I've used gutter guard sections ...
to fabricate a shield for the lower portion of the radiator on other vehicles (e.g. 2003 Crown Victoria LX Sport).

Hardly even visible ...

I worry about where I'm gong to park my truck at the mall. Sometimes I park where all the other trucks are parked. Then I worry about who's truck I should park next to. I mean......do I park next to the Chevy Duramax? or the Ram Longhorn?

If you don't worry about these things then why are you worried about others doing it and worried about posting several times on something you're not worried about?
