Default Shifting Strange Since K&N Air Filter

So I dropped a K&N air filter in my truck about a month ago and I've noticed it seems to shift a bit differently for the worse. Do I need to get a programmer to change the computer with how things run since I have it? Or is it something else?

Was it just the filter, or an intake kit? If the kit I would suspect the MAF sensor was damaged, installed backwards, or forgotten to re-install.
If the filter only, this shouldn't have any effect on shifting. You may have to look at something else.

Hey I have an 09 F150 Platinum. I would check what the other poster said. If it's not that, I just read about this TSB for shifting issues on this Forum. I also read that when some people brought their truck in for service the dealer made it worse.

No difference in the way the truck shifts on my '10 FX4 since putting on the K&N performance intake kit.

Did you disconnect the battery for some reason when you installed the filter?
