I only bought a 12x12 sheet for about $1 plus shipping from the vinylspectrum.com so I didn't really take a hit. I'm going to use this sheet to see how this material works to avoid messing up once I have the whole section to cover the bumper.

Msgross, that is the site I bought this sample from and I was going to use that very same piece you linked to wrap the front bumper. I will check the fitment to see if this 12" section will cover up the front bumper for future reference.

If a matching vinyl cant be found, maybe consider paint + clear protection film to the truck.

That should solve the issue of paint chipping but it will be expensive and the shops here won't guarantee the work because the bumper is chrome. Small town so options are limited besides going into Mexico.

On a side note, could a mod please change the title of this thread to reflect the correct color (vermillion red) that I just found out I have. Thank you in advance!

I know there is a powder coater here that has a whole lineup of ford factory colors. I would assume this is available all over......that is what I would go with over vinyl or paint, assuming the price difference is not a deal breaker.

Not sure on the powder coating prices. I know the vinyl would run me about 30$ for the vinyl and 18$ in beer.

I have about 400 different sample swatches, (I own a sign shop.) and my brother in law works at our Ford Dealer, I'll see if they have any race red vehicles tomorrow and sample then up, I'll get back with you.

That would be awesome but can you please check for matches on vermillion red (paint code e4) as I recently found that I do not have a race red color.

Thank you so much in advance

Would you be willing to check both the E4 [vermillion] and the PQ [race red]? My grille surround is getting chipped up, and I'd like to try the vinyl wrap instead of repainting it.

Sure thing, I have sterling grey wrap right now that is about to go on my grill and bumpers, I'll let you guys know how well it works and any tricks I learn along the way.

It looks as if I'll be getting the colors for you guys Monday as my brother in law doesn't work Sundays.

That works for me. I've been looking to no end to try and find the right PQ match. The only thing I've found is paint, and I have plans to repaint the grille surround, vinyl might be a good alternative. I think these vinyl companies would do well to match vehicle color codes, at least for us gearheads, with any make. Then again, that may be cost prohibitive.
Thanks Cody!!
