Look at the thread a little more closely. The thread creator hasn't said if he has installed them or not, he has just posted pictures of the parts.

They're going in on Sunday, should have an installed update Monday. I travel for a living so getting things done during the week is next to impossible for me.

Read great reviews on the f1 pages on fb. Been meaning to get a set but we're closing on a house so truck goodies have to wait til then.

Well apparently I can't edit posts so reserving this spot was a fail. LOL

So on to the first impressions....

Looks:
These rotors look MUCH better than the rusted grooved stock ones that I had on. It's dark otherwise I'd throw some pics up, I'll have to add those at a later date.

Braking Power:
For the first time since installing the 35's I'm able to lock up the brakes again. Even under normal hard braking the initial bite is considerably stronger than stock. Slowly rolling to a stop with light pedal pressure feels no different than the OEM brakes. Compared to my 2 BMW's and company Ford, under heavy pedal pressure these throw you forward considerably stronger and faster. First impression I would say slightly better than OEM brakes even with the increase in tire size which is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Noise:
With the windows up, there is no noticeable braking noise under any braking conditions. Even with the radio and fan off and specifically listening for it. With the windows down under normal braking conditions they are completely silent. Under heavier braking conditions I noticed what I could only describe as a clicking sound. I was able to replicate this over and over again with the same noise. I attributed this to the slots on the rotors and wasn't overly concerned about it. A quick google search lead to countless threads on all kinds of forums describing the same noise with slotted rotors so I would count this as normal.

Overall:
I was able to achieve exactly what I was looking for. Re-gained OEM level braking power and actually slightly better, was able to get rid of the pulse in the pedal with new brakes, improved the looks inside the wheel wells.

I'd have no problem recommending R1Concept brakes based on my experience so far. I did notice 1 person say come back after 10,000 miles. With the road time this truck sees, that may take me 5 years to hit so this will have to do for now

I ordered my set today. After reading reviews from other forums and their facebook page I decided to give them a try.

until right about the first time you apply the brakes.

This is correct. It's the same as the silver zinc coated rotors but in a black zinc instead.

Yeah...slotted rotors are going to do absolutely nothing to restore any "bite" you lost in the first place and secondly you opted for drilled rotors as well to help "cool" when you tow? Some research would have shown you that you want as much ferrous mass as possible to absorb heat created when slowing heavy loads, and the cross drilling only adds about 32 new places for your fancy new ricer rotors to crack when the time comes. Some Hawk pads or even NAPA pads and premium rotors would have been a better choice that you could have sourced locally for similar or less money.
