Makes sense, most of the steeper inclines are probably at higher elevations, not sure how high the road goes there but you lose something like 3% power every 1,000ft you go up in a NA engine. I know this summer when I went up Mt Washington, there is a 10 degree grade near the top but at 20-25mph, there was not a whole lot of revving needed. (Actually, come to think of it, it was probably more like 15mph as it was on a pretty sharp bend and visibility was around 20 ft due to the clouds).

Any difference in gearing between the two trucks?

Nope. Both trucks had 3.55 gears. My 5.0 did have 33" E rated BFG A/T tires, which made it a little more sluggish though.

Thought the EB and 5.0 were comparable... Weird
