Default quick question on leveling kit.

Long time reader, first time poster. I am pulling the trigger on a 14' FX4 tomorrow and the dealer is going to install a 2" leveling kit on the front, should I add a 2" block to the rear to keep the look of the stock rake? I want to make sure I don't have the nose in the air look.

There are a lot of variations of level kits. You may want to do the front and see how it sits before doing block. I did this and quickly realized I needed a bigger block for when the bed has a load in it. My truck has Bilstein shocks up front on 2.25 setting and 3" block in rear now.

My 13 goes in for a 2" front level and 3" rear block on Wednesday. This will keep your truck at almost stock rake while adding plenty of clearance for bigger tires!!!

The rear is currently 1.25" correct? You think it will take a 3" rear to maintain the stock rate?

The rear is 1.5". I chose my set up based on dealer recommendations without purchasing/them installing. They wanted $1200.00 to do so. I bought my 2" Hell Bent Steel for $65.00 on Cyber Monday and 3" Procomp rear block for $135.00 and out the door with rear well liners I'm going to be $600.00 all in.

Pretty sure the rear is 1.25 as I looked it up myself (on here) before I decided on replacing it with a 2".

That is correct, 1.25" on 09-14's. The blocks on the 04-08's were 1.5".

Now I'm confused lol, I read on here 1.5" but anyways most guys on here run 3". It all depends on your wants and needs are for your truck on choosing your rear block!!!

Different brand leveling kits can vary in actual lift height achieved. With that being said my 2" level sat my truck perfectly level on all 4 corners. I do tow a lot and it does squat In the rear, however I would rather have my truck perfectly level at all times and deal with the squat when towing than I would look like I was getting ready to drive into the ground at all times. Of course that is all personal preference. Also take into consideration that the front end will settle some after install and alignment, so Imo I would have the dealer install the 2" level and alignment and then drive the truck for a couple of days. If your not happy with it being perfectly level and decide you want some rake back add a 1.75 or 2" rear block to add .5" to .75" of front rake back.
