Default Quick help before I pull trigger on new Ford

Been looking for a new ford for 8 weeks now, some of you know this. Been riding motorcycle and getting little chilly so getting serious about truck. One dealership is giving me best. On an Eco boost supercrew FX4 with leather he is willing to sell for 39,000 out the door that includes my sales tax of 8.2 percent and all his fee's. But he is also offering me a 2012 FX4 supeercrew with the 5.0 for 38,000 out the door. Man its hard to decide, have read a few posts on here about it already and going to read some more. He needs my decisions by late tonight or tomorrow morning first thing. I tow a smaller Lowe boat, sometimes a trailer with work items but nothing to heavy. In your opinion what is the better deal? If I read correctly the gas mileage is pretty close. Which way would some of you guys had the choice. Been talking to eco owners mostly so I have their opinions, but the dealer just threw out the 5.0 truck so I dont know a ton yet. Any help would be great, this site has helped me out a ton already.

P.S. Ford appreciation was last month and you got 5 year warranty instead of the 3 year warranty, anyone know if they carried that over to this month before I ask my salesman for it? Thanks again

For just a $1,000 more, I'd grab the Ecoboost if all other options are the same. The Ecoboost will hold that margin on resale/trade.

Perfectly happy with my 5.0. I towed a 6500lb draper head down the road just fine. I could have got a ecoboost for $1000 more, but for me I was worried about running a corn stalk through the intercooler with it being so low.

Drive both of them that will make it easy. You will choose the ecoboost.

5.0 exhaust sounds better. You don't need the Eco to tow the items you listed, and the improved gas mileage is so small, it will take almost 3-4 year to offset the $1k difference. Also, I think the 5.0 might have better resale down the road as many are cautious that turbos will eventually need replacing.

The Ecos are quiet. You can't go wrong with either truck. Good luck.
