What's the model number of your maestro?
Edit: Never mind, I found what product goes with that stereo (ALP-MRR) and the firmware (PF-FOR01-DS) never got updated. Well I guess that idea won't work.

Ya I have synced my wife's droid and it does the same thing.
I just retested it after setting bluetooth to AFTERMARKET instead of "BOTH" under the Maestro settings menu on the restyle. It didn't make a difference, still got the pop up message.

I will say Lollipop is crap and most cater to the iPhone when it comes to compatibility. My Advent has some bugs but I paid a tenth of what you paid for your Alpine so I understand your frustration. I would try the car audio forums.

Yea that's why I asked the lolipop firmware is garbage. Wish there was something that could be done I gotta say I hate technology it seems like you pay for expensive phones or something high end and it doesn't last near as long as the older tech gadgets

Totally agree with you guys. It's just frustrating spending this much money and having these little nagging issues. I can live with it...it's just annoying.

As for the comments about lollipop, I had very intermittent bluetooth audio when my phone was running lollipop. Every few minutes, audio over bluetooth would randomly cut out for a second and come back in. This happened with the F150 connected to SYNC and in the old Sierra connected to an aftermarket Pioneer stereo. A couple weeks ago my phone upgraded to marshmallow and it's been working great in both trucks since then. Maybe this issue might resolve itself if and when your phone gets the marshmallow upgrade.

Same here...truck is paid off and I really do love it, it's been the best truck I've ever had. This stereo upgrade was a present for myself, since instead of me getting a new F-250 or diesel, we got my wife a new Jeep Wrangler. I just wish it worked better for the price...
I hope Verizon pushes out an upgrade to Marshmallow for the Note 4, but since the 5 is already out, I have a feeling it will be stuck on Lollipop through it's end of life. There were challenges in rooting the Note 4, so I haven't rooted it yet like I did my Note 2 and previous phones, but might eventually in order to run Marshmallow. Although, I have not had ANY bluetooth issues whatsoever. I listen to audiobooks and steam from my phone constantly, and the bluetooth audio on the Restyle works perfectly with it. It's just that nagging popup screen that pisses me off.

I don't know how true it is but the Note 4 should start seeing Marshmallow very soon. Lollipop was such a disaster I think they pretty much have to rollout Marshmallow for every phone that has Lollipop. I swear my phone now runs 30 degrees cooler.
