Default Question about tuners and gas mileage/HP???

I have a 2011 F150 5.0 4x4...the truck has a leveling kit with 20" rims and 33's. The truck originally came with 18" rims from the factory. It seems to struggle at lower speeds and even when putting a light load (trailer) behind it. I am also only getting about 12 mpg. I am wondering how much a tuner will help or if I am looking at needing to change the torque converter or the axle gears to get better results? Thanks

With a tuner and custom tune you can get back some mileage. Are you sure you are getting 12mpg? Did you change your speedo calibration for larger tires? If not you could be getting 1-2mpg better than you think you are.

A tuner will help you gain power back, but it isn't going to gain you much mpg. The mpg is 90% up to the driver and their driving style. 12mpg seems low for DD, what kind of driving is this? Do you normally have a load in/behind the truck?

Tune will definitely help you with some of that power you might be feeling like you lost. My sig trucks mileage is right around 12.3-13.5 city driving.
