Default Question about Sync/Nav/Sony Interface

My truck will be here in about 3 weeks but in the meantime I'm curious about the Sync/Nav interface. My last few cars connected to my iPod and I could scroll through folders that I sorted my music into and select what I wanted via a controller and menu on the nav screen.

Can you do something similar with the touch screen via Nav & Sync? For example, I download MP3's of a radio program which are only identified numerically by the date the show was recorded. If it can only be viewed and controlled via voice command I'm worried that I won't be able to "scroll" to a specific show. Do you see the folder and list of songs in that folder or am I out of luck with an MP3 titled "20110331- HR1".

Or, do I have to do it the old fashion way and leave my iPod easily accessible and manually scroll through it using the iPod controls? I was hoping to use the ingenious mod to put the iPod/USB drive in the glove compartment.

Question 1) Can I see my list of songs and folders via the Nav screen and scroll through via the touch screen to find what I want?

Question 2) Does the Sync/Nav system come with a hard drive that I can transfer all of my MP3's too instead of having a flash drive or iPod plugged in all the time?

Thanks in advance. The wait is killing me and making me even more obsessed with every little detail.

1) Yes
2) Yes, but you can only copy to the HDD from a CD, not a MP3 player.

Hey FWIW, I never understood the hype about the USB2 mod until yesterday. I found a mini USB to USB cable in my basement and said what the heck. I picked up a female/female gender changer, $5 and a 4GB thumb drive, $10. Drag and drop my songs, playlists, whatever onto the thumb drive and toss it in the glove box. Out of sight. Worth a try, rather than burning CD's and stuff.
