Question About Lariat vs. Platinum
#31
I did not like the Platinum tailgate at first either. I did like the Platinum rims more than the Lariat. It was easy for me to choose rims over tailgate, especially when you throw in the other extras. Like everyone else, the tailgate grows on you and after a bit you don't even notice it. The running boards are very nice because they do come down a little farther than the bolt ons. I have not had any passengers complain about the backseat. I do not see how that would be any different than the Lariat though. There is enough room in the back of the Supercrews for passengers to slide down in the seat a little to create a small recline.

[QUOTE=Bender, I like your tailgate. How did you do that?[/QUOTE]
I hate to admit it.......but it is plastidip. Thought that was the easiest way to try it and see if looked good. My long term plan is to get some black vinyl cut or maybe paint the stripes on.
Sent from my iPad that's being a pain lol

2013 Lariat
When I looked through all the different options, bottom line was I wanted the 6.5 foot bed Scab body. Lariat offered everything I was looking for, 4x4, EcoBoost, 502a, (does have remote start) Chrome Package, Max Tow and the leather seats are very comfy too. Planning on moving back to the midwest, so I bought it now and if all goes well, have it paid off in 2 years. Still drive the Mustang as daily driver. I'm very happy with my Lariat as I'm sure the guys driving the Platinums are too, but be happy with your choice. Good luck!

I just picked up a new 12' Platinum, Silver, two weeks ago and love it except wish the grill area was chrome instead of the painted silver. That's about my only gripe with it. But hey, with an msrp of a little over $50k got it for $39k .
