Default Question about FX4 package

Are the shocks and suspension on the new FX4's tuned a bit differently than the other 4X4 packages Ford offers?

And if so..how are they different?

thanks!

IDK, but you need to level that truck of yours.

I was wondering the same thing...

I do know that the FX4 works well pulling Toyota's out of the mud

You would think they would have an upgraded shock for the FX4, like they will have in the 2010 Raptor; however, I looked in the '09 F150 catalogue and in the FX4 section of the brochure, it does not mention the shocks.

It speaks only to the 3.73 Locking Rear Differential, and Skid Plates, etc. as being standard in that model.

I was going to get the FX4, but I could not pass up the huge cash back offer last month on the XLT, so I went with a nicely loaded XLT.

I did a little further checking in the slick color sales brochure for the F150 Series, which is loaded with a lot of info/data on the various models of F150's, and it does not specify a different shock for any of the multiple F150 model types.

In fact, toward the back of the brochure, under Specifications, and under Standard Features, they show 'Gas-pressurized twin-tube shock absorbers' as standard on all the models.

I don't care what '09 model one has bought, I am sure most everyone is as happy as I am with their purchase !!?? I will say it again, best engineered and layed out truck I have ever owned !!!

I am getting over 20 MPG on the hwy at 65-70, in my 5.4, 4X4, XLT Screw, and it is not even fully broken in yet !!
