Q: morimoto h1 retro
Hi,
I just installed the morimoto h1 retro fit into factory headlights (2013 f150), all is fine, kind of.
I printed off an installation guide from the retro fit source website that says if the projector unit isn't deep enough to thread on the supplied mounting nut, to simply use the bulb holding bracket with the 3 small supplied screws which will then act as the support for the whole projector assembly.
So this is what I did, lights work, look great etc. but as I'm driving, my one projector seems to wiggle horizontally, just enough to be noticeable.
My Q: has anyone else done this retro fit, and mounted it without the large threaded nut? Does your projector move at all?
If you have mounted the projector with the supplied nut, how did you do it? Shave the factory headlight housing down or something else?
- long winded... My apologize.

I realize I can simply try and snug up the 3 screws holding the wiggle projector, but now concerned about long term, are the 3 screws a long term solution...?

I got this kit bc I thought it would just thread on. It didn't so I did some cutting and just used epoxy. By the time I was done I shoulda just got the FXR kit. I'm not overly impressed with the mini's

I cut down my bucket in the rear so more threads were exposed, not alot. I also screwed my projector housing directly into my bucket but you need to do that before the housing is re-sealed so guessing you are past that stage. And the MH1's are awesome, no they are not FXR's but for the ease of mount, they are outstanding and better than the vast majority of the cars around I drive.

I just did a retrofit to the headlights on my 09 FX4. I did shave down the housing, look at post #37 in the following link, I try to explain what I did. https://www.f150forum.com/f78/zanes-toy-210962/index4/
My concern as of now wasn't taking headlight apart, should go quick now that the factory B$ glue has been removed and replaced with something much more plyable, Should be an easyish task.
The concern was cutting the headlight housing and making it a straight cut so everything fits flush still...
Anyway, thanks for sharing, will try your route!
