Pvd black chrome wheels

Huh...not sure where that comes from...saw one set on a Chevy truck and one on a Dodge SUV. I don't believe either of those is a Ricer?
But you get the gist. Just, to me, the solid shiny black with the red caliper cover doesn't really go with a blue truck. Maybe if you did the calipers in the same blue as the truck it would look more complete. That's probably why it doesn't sit with me.
But the important thing is YOU like it, you're the one who has to drive it.

I think Scott1972's blue truck looks PERFECT with the PVD wheels and red caliper covers. The caliper covers tie in nicely with the FX appearance badges, and the gloss wheels match up very nicely and cleanly with the deep shine of the Blue Flame (Ruby Red and Tux Black would also look great).

I understand they are not the fusion wheels, but they are the same process, PVD. I also understand that the finish on the wheels is warranted for 5 years.
I am happy for you that you like them. they are a fantastic look.
what I am saying is Ford has been using PVD on certain wheels for the last couple years and it's not working out. with that said my advice was to stay away from them. Just because the finish is warranteed, doesnt mean it wont have problems. Ford warranty's the wheels for 3 years and has had so many finish problems that they have started a recall saying they will no longer be replacing the black PVD wheels with the same style, they are now replacing them with a gloss black painted wheel.

riddle me this, hypothetically speaking, you do have finish issues with the wheels in a few months, maybe even a few years down the road. unless you have a 2nd set of wheels for your truck, what are you going to drive? because you will have to take your wheels and tires to a tire shop (without using your truck to do so) have the tires broken down off of the wheels, bring 4 loose wheels and 4 loose tires back to your house. now take 4 wheels to UPS store or wherever, package them up and ship the wheels out, back to michigan where they check out the wheels and determine if the finish issues are a fault of yours (improper cleaning, chemicals, etc) or a fault of the wheel itself. they they ship some new wheels to you. now you have to take those wheels and the loose tires back to the tire shop (again without your truck) and have them mounted and balanced. ALL OF THIS ON YOUR DIME AND YOUR TIME.
even before the Ford finish problems started happening, this was what made me decide NOT to do this. my time and the use of my truck are too important to me.
