Just my opinion from actually having it.
Agreed. if I have to put the key in the ignition lock cylinder and turn it to the on position I might as well go to the full start position. I don't have the problem since I do have 4 wheel drive but a start switch wouldn't be my first choice to put in that spot.

I saw that, but I would still have the coin holder...

Yeah, you're right...

I may either live with it or put a gauge that matches the instrument panel colors

I called the dealer today just for fun. They want $64.00 for that switch. Not such a novel idea anymore....

That is actually very cool, didn't realize they made those.

The column lock is an issue on our trucks.

Lightbulb The Push Button RFID System/Kit

Sooo after quite a bit of research on Push Button Starts and the optional RFID approachable security systems, I have narrowed the results down to 3 dealers that support universal Push Button Technology.

1. Advancedkeys.com
2. Digitalguardawg.com
3. kptechnologies.com

These are ALL excellent dealers in my opinion, along with individually offering unique technologies/products that differ from each other.

I personally am going with advancedkeys.com due to price and professionalism of the site.
I'll be sure to post pictures and all "kinked-out" modifications made.

Some also might be wondering about where a decent place might be to install a push button start on the newer f-150s... I've been thinking about replacing the "coin holder" on my 2010 XLT with a bored out OEM replacement 12V socket/cap that you would usually find on the right portion of the Instrument panel. you can find the OEM parts @

I hope this finds you well!
