Default Pulled out a Titan

While driving along the beach a few nights ago in Pensacola, I came across a Titan that thought it could drive in the sand. Uh, no. A jeep wrangler was trying to pull him out with no luck. Titan was buried to the axels in the soft sand. Hooked the chain from his hitch to mine, put it in 4H (since I don't have 4L), and easily pulled him out at not much more than idle. In all fairness, I was smart enough to keep all four tires on the pavement, while the jeep did not. But, I was still very impressed with the low-end torque of the 6.2. Didn't even break a sweat!

The driver is in the Army so I didn't give him any grief!

I see so many people getting stuck out there. Need to go buy a tow strap!

Picture or I don’t get my chuckle for the day.

Definitely get a tow strap, and a blanket to throw over it in case it snaps. The blanket will act like a parachute. Not much you can do to protect yourself if a chain snaps.

It was in the National Park between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. No street lights, no buildings, no other cars, pitch black. Couldn't get a pic.

2011 Harleys / Limiteds only have 2H / AWD / 4H. No 4L.

I live about 10 miles from there! If you don't have tires designed to go through sand it's not a good idea to go too far off the road here in Florida. The white sand is really fine and soft. Even with 4 wd and good tires for going through the sand I'm still very careful where I go. Getting stuck in a 4 wd and having to be pulled out has to be embarrassing!

I guess they don't expect Harley Limiteds to go off road much so they didn't bothering giving you a 4 low. Might have something to do with having AWD too.

x2 with that. I've been driving on trails on grass and watched people's trucks just sink in crazy soft sand that comes outta nowhere here in Florida. And god its gotta be embarrassing to have to call a buddy to pull you out of some sand Lol

Ha thats not embarrassing, ill tell u what was...
I was at pismo beach going camping and took my dads 4x4 superduty diesel a few years back. But it was on the skinny crappy oem tires and i almost got stuck. Had to air down and put in 4wd and was struggling not to dig a hole. In the meantime a little vw jetta buzzed by in the sand
