Pro's and Con's of the new F-150
I'm a new salesman at a Ford Dealership in North Alabama, and would love to hear some feedback on the new style F-150. The good, the bad, the irrelevant...anything that'll help me know more about these vehicles. I've gotten really familiar with all the available equipment on them and how they work. But i'd love to hear about them in real life applications. Thanks for all feedback

Pros: (that are unique to the F150)
1. Fully flat load floor (one of the top 3 things that sold me on F150 personally)
2. Keyless entry keypad
3. Amount of space in the backseat of a screw is HUGE
4. Tailgate step
5. The amount of trim levels and options available compared to other brands
6. Aesthetics inside and out
7. Sync
Cons:
1. Door indents
2. Warranty isn't as good as some competitor's
Stick around the 09+ forum section long enough, and you'll hear all the good and bad experiences people have with their trucks. Personally, I applaud you for taking the initiative to come on here and learn more to be better at your job. It's sad that of the 10+ dealers/salesmen I dealt with in my truck buying process I knew considerably more about the truck than every last one of them

If by "indents" you mean the doors swing open at lightening speed, I heartily agree. Parking on a down slope and opening the door has almost pulled my arm out of my socket trying to stop it
That was the first thing I noticed on my 2010 XLT. Alas , the new lariat does the same thing.
A driver-side grab handle would be sweet.

I love everything about my truck except sync, its so ify i try not to use it when anyone is with me so im not embarassed. It needs serious refinments. At least half the time it won't see my iphone via bluetooth. Ford should have gone with apple to design this system. Sync runs like windows 98, just waiting for that next blue screen or illegal operation

Oh I also forgot...one of my biggest pro's! I'm not sure if this applies to 2011's and up. But my 2010 STX is easily upgradable. Most wiring for all trim styles is already there. Such as, I did not have auto head lights...I bought a switch and the dash sensor an it all plugged right in. The plug on my dash, already had the wiring harness attached!!!
I've been hearing that the 11's and up don't have this though.

The reverse lights are just sad.
I have the XLT with bench seat and the driver's seat is hugely uncomfortable. The side bolsters are too hard and the center area too low. The seat pinches my butt and sciatic nerve. Because Ford made the side bolsters out of metal and padded them so thinly, my professional seat upholsterer says it's almost impossible for him to improve the seat.
My 1998 F150 bench seat was 1000% times better.

I stopped using synch to avoid teaching my daughter bad words
