Default Problems with Sync and AUX radio

I currently own a 2010 F-150 STX, I have problems with the sync and aux capabilities. The dash recognizes that Bluetooth is activated whether it is connected on my phone or not. When I press the phone button on the radio or steering wheel the radio does not change to the sync or hands-free calling. Secondly, when I press the AUX button or the media button on the steering wheel, the radio quickly switch back to the AM/FM radio. It wont recognize Bluetooth audio, usb audio, or line in. I read in other postings that a possible update is needed or a fuse removed and replaced for a hard reset. Im willing to do anything, if anyone can help, id greatly appreciate it.

Fastest and easiest way is to rip the negative off the battery for a few minutes. If you take the fuse out you won't lose your presets or such, but I haven't tried that way... YET.

Not sure what fuse sync uses on your year but pulling that for few minutes should fix it.
