Problems with 2013 ford my touch nav..

I can't until the GPS module comes in and they replace that. This "magical" module has been on back order for months and their answer as to when it will come in is simply there is no ETA.. Basically live with it. 4 months and counting. As if they are not building new trucks with this module, somehow they just can't get their hands on one or even canabalize another truck for arguments sake..

My 2013 Nav update:
I was having issues and seem to have solved them.
I purchased an Edge programmer and used it to get an accurate tire size inputted in the system. Upon doing so, it rendered the Sync screen black, and was unable to get the screen to come back, just a glitch I assumed from the programming.
I then removed the negative ground from the battery and let the vehicle sit for 15min and then reattached the ground. This brought back the nav screen and Sync rebooted.
Since this install and reboot, my Nav has been working flawlessly (knock on wood)

If you guys have NOT had your dealer replace the GPS sensor unit itself then you need to have them do it. I had to wait 2 months for them to get a replacement, however my NAV has worked flawlessly ever since. And I have taller 275/60/20 (33" tall) so the whole theory that the tires cause the issue is out the door as well. So in short if your dealer keeps on doing all these "updates" without success then ask them to replace the actual GPS sensor.

Well I will join the club, My nave is rolling about the country side and long island sound while i am anywhere but there.
I will try the Neg terminal reboot. If not I will see what the dealership says.

Took delivery of my 2013 Ecoboost around the first of April. Went straight to my tire dealer and had the stock tires replaced with a set of Nittos that were about 1.2 inches larger in diameter. Three days later I took a business trip to Florida and the GPS was all over the place. In the woods, in the water, occasionally it would show the right location. Went back to my dealer after returning home. Service manager tried a reset with no results. Said that he would have to call Ford. Service manager called me the next day and asked if I had larger aftermarket tires on the truck. When I replied yes, he said that was my problem. The navigation was tied to the speedometer and the only way to correct the problem was to replace the original tires. I asked him to recalibrate the speedometer. Said that couldn't be done. ( Had another dealer attempt a recalibration but it will only accept the tire sizes available from Ford ) My tire dealer suggested that I remove the negative battery cable for about 30 minutes to allow everything to reboot. I actually left it off around 45 minutes, I got busy on the phone. Once reconnected, the GPS has been dead on. That was 2 1/2 months ago and 10,000 miles. Hasn't missed a beat since.

Had the same problem..
Dealer ran my VIN and said I was in the1% of NAV units with this problem. Ford gave them a special download for my unit. It has worked perfect ever since.
They did say they spent hrs on the phone with ford in order to get it fixed. It thought it was BS, but it seems to have worked.

I've got to call BS on the whole after market wheel\tire theory. That would be like me saying that since I went from 18" wheels to 20" wheels I am closer to the GPS satellites so it should be more accurate. I went from 18s to 20s but I have a lower profile tire. The overall difference in the circumference of my tires is about .45 inches. The size of my tires has absolutely nothing to do with my location on this planet we call Earth. My navigation system is completely useless. I have a Garmin that I paid $150.00 for and I can put in any car with any size wheels\tires and it works like a champ. I will try the battery disconnect, but if that doesn't work, then it's time kick it up a notch and get a lawyer involved. Ford has done absolutely nothing to try and fix this problem.
